Late Rajkumar Rabindra was the eldest son of Late King Mahendra. He was born in July 1939 AD by Geeta Gurung, the first unofficial wife of King Mahendra. He did his studies in Lucknow(school level) and further studied from KM college Delhi, India and Later, Graduated from Tri-Chandra College, Tribhuvan University, Nepal. He was married to Chanda Rajya Laxmi Rana, the daughter of Late Major General Daijjel Janga Bahadur Rana in February 1966. He was a passionate Poet, Lyricist and had a great interest in music just like his father, King Mahendra. Around 400-500 books which includes his songs and poems have been published till date. His famous lyrics are “Rani Talau Kinara”, “Dhalki-Dhalki na hida nani”, “Phool ko paat ma”, “Aankha Tari Na Jau”, “Prabhat ma shankha bajiyo” and many more. His songs have been sung by Legendary Tara Devi, Natika Ji, Phatyaman, Prabhesh Man Sakya, Shiva Shankhar and many more.
