It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our precious son. George Ghanem beloved son of Tony and Yowla Ghanem of Kelowna, BC formerly of Calgary passed away peacefully in his sleep on December 1, at the age of 27 years. George was born in Calgary and graduated from St. Mary's High School. After graduation George worked with his father in the family automotive business and recently received his appraisal and estimator certification with ICBC. In September George and his family moved to Kelowna where he opened his own Body Shop-Fix Auto. Besides his loving parents George is survived by two younger brothers; Joshua and Noah. He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Wadad Nasr of Calgary, numerous aunts, uncles and cousins in Calgary and Lebanon. [edit]Ghanem began his career as an associate lawyer and solicitor at George Jabre lag firm in Beirut from to After quitting this job, he joined the foreign ministry and rose through the ranks to the position of Consul General and was deployed in Sydney where he served from June to January He was appointed Lebanon ambassador to Malaysia on 29 January [3][4]
