    Dr Abed Bwanika was born on August 1, in Lwengo district.

    He attended Kimwanyu Primary School, near his parents’ home and Masaka Secondary School for his O’level, before joining Kigezi High School for A’level.

    Thereafter, Bwanika was admitted to Makerere University, where he graduated with a bachelors of veterinary medicine.

    Later, he earned a master’s of science degree in the same field from Makerere.

    Following his first degree, Bwanika stayed on at Makerere as a graduate tutor as he conducted research and pursued a second degree.

    In , Bwanika left teaching and started a private veterinary consultancy. He also opened a church, Christian Witness Church.

    During the presidential elections, he supported Yoweri Museveni, but switched allegiance to Kizza Besigye in He ran as an independent candidate in the February presidential election, where he finished in fourth place with % of the vote (65, total votes).

    Abed Bwanika (born 1 August ) is a Ugandan veterinarian, politician, and pastor. He is the President of the People's Development Party, an motstånd political party in Uganda and his currently a Member of Parliament for Kimanya-Kabonera constituency beneath the NUP, the youngest political party led Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.[2]

    Bwanika was born on 1 August in modern-day Lwengo District.[3] He attended Kimwanyu Primary School, near his parents' home in said area. Later, he studied at Masaka Secondary School for his 'O' level, and at Kigezi High School for his 'A' level. He was admitted to Makerere University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Later, he earned a Master of Science degree in the same field, also from Makerere.[4]
