Butch Hartman (full name: Elmer Earl Hartman IV) is an American animator who is well known for his many animated series on Nickelodeon.

History

Butch started out as a cartoonist, but later studied at CalArts for animation. He also worked for animation during and after his studies. On December , he sold his original short cartoon The Fairly OddParents!(video below) to Nickelodeon as the gods slot of Oh Yeah! Cartoons anthology series.

Due to the short's sucess, Butch was requested to make six minute shorts of Fairly OddParents, and later became a full animated series, starting his long-time career in Nickelodeon. On August 18, , he created his own channel on YouTube channel, with his earliest upload dated on September 1, (video below).

During his stay in Nickelodeon, he also made other personal projects like a children's app called The Noog Network(below, left) and his Speech Bubble podcast (below, right).
