Director Jason Paul Laxamana was diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome.
This was revealed by the filmmaker in an Instagram post on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
JP (Jason Paul's nickname) is the writer and director of the movies 100 Tula Para Kay Stella and The Day After Valentine's, both top-billed by Bella Padilla and JC Santos.
He was also at the helm of Between Maybes starring Julia Barretto and Gerald Anderson; Just A Stranger featuring Anne Curtis and Marco Gumabao; and Expensive Candy led by Julia Barretto and Carlo Aquino, among others.

Jason Paul Laxamana (born 1987 or 1988[1]) is a Filipino filmmaker and writer.
Early life and education
[edit]Laxamana, a native of Angeles City, Pampanga, studied at the University of the Philippines Diliman where he pursued a degree in broadcast communication.[2]
Career
[edit]Laxamana started his career in the entertainment industry as a volunteer production assistant in one of the episodes of Maalaala Mo Kaya directed by Jeffrey Jeturian. He also worked as personal assistant and stage manager of events by another director, Maryo J. de los Reyes.[2]
He worked as a script continuity for Maroy's A Love Story and as script contuinity again and local coordinator in Brillante Mendoza's Serbis which was filmed in Laxaman'as home province of Pampanga.[2]
